Tobii eye tracker no longer tracks eyes in 3.23

Finally got a chance to check out 3.23 for a little while before work and first thing I noticed is that the Tobii Eye tracker no longer tracks my eyes. I tried setting it to only track eyes, no head movement, and it still wouldn't track my eyes, only my head movements. As a sanity check I went into live, checked my settings to make sure they hadn't changed, and tried the eye tracking there. It worked exactly like I had set it up. They did add some "camera" settings for the eye tracking, but didn't matter with them off or on, max settings or minimum, the Tobii still worked the exact same way. Tracks your head movements, ignores eye movements.

I am assuming they broke something and it will be fixed because it is quite annoying to have it no longer move the screen to what you are looking at and have to move your entire head to do something that used to be a brief glance.

I have never used the eye tracking, but to be honest with you I can’t imagine that this will remain broken for long. Tobii has long been an intrinsic component of star citizen.

Good for you for doing this sanity check lol but that tells me that something during that patch for 3.23 is definitely broken

I was able to get it to work. They added a couple more layers of options/sliders to it that can make it not work correctly. Apparently adding layers of complexity to simple systems that worked fine how they were are part of this new patch.

I feel like the dead zones I had programmed in, so that my head isn't bouncing every time I blink an eye, seems to be reset. Even though it's at 40 for both vertical and horizontal I think I need to bump it. Have you experienced this?

I have the eye tracking turned down so that it doesn't flinch every time I barely move my eyes. The new system takes a fair amount of tweaking to get it close to where it used to be.

This is what I am using, with the same set up for FPS as well. I don't think there are any other settings that would affect head/eye movement other than these.

Yeah your sensativity is WAY less than mine. I am going to try these for FLIGHT.

I don't use the eye tracker for FPS.

One thing I noticed about Tobii that sucks; their double sided adhesive tape wore out on one side and is drooping. I ordered a new role of 3M 16' x 0.9" which I will swap both sides out on. Should last me a lifetime lol

I 3d printed a mount for mine since I am using an ultrawide monitor. On my older monitor, the tape would never hold, so I "superglued" it. Still on there nice and solid.

I have a LG Ultrawide and yeah I am finding the one side droops. I am hesitant to suberglue it but I do know that there are mount solutions out there like little tripods and stuff. I just haven't decided if I want to go that route. I like my built in look :(
